Suction Side Cleaners
 

 Suction Side cleaners dwarfs the selection of pressure and robotic cleaners. These works just like any traditional vacuum cleaner, except they do it within the pool. Most that do work (most don't in our opinion) are best suited for Above Ground or small to medium-sized inground pools.  They generally work whenever the main filter is on, using the suction from the skimmer value, or a dedicated suction line.  They are even less effective than either Pressure Side and far less than Robotic cleans, and usually reduce the vacuuming force of the pool skimmer when used.  These are the cleaners of choice for the really thrifty-minded, but often they rarely meet expectations, and many feel they are a waste of time..  They come in all shapes and sizes, some that float on the waterline, others which only clean the pool floors, and a very few which climb the walls.
Suction Side Cleaners work much like
a traditional home vacuum cleaner. Some have
vibrating pads or flappers which can help
dislodge dirt and debris from the pool surfaces
