The following charts are based on information published by the manufacturers, occasionally modified by the vast knowledge we possess.   Numbers and features occasionally change, and even those published by the manufacturer are sometimes inconsistent*.  Therefore, please use this chart and the Buyer's Guide on each product page as a general guideline to assist in your ultimate purchase. 
       
Note 1:  All of these are robotic cleaners with the following common denominators, with some noted exceptions:  Fully-independent, Self-Contained Filter,  No Installation,  Wall Climbing,  Step-down Transformers,  No Hoses, No Booster Pumps, No Suction Lines, Reduced Backwashing, Eliminate Manual Brushing and Vacuuming,  Minimum Maintenance,  Great Savings on Electricity, Chemicals and Water.    Note 2: No cleaning time are given because shut-off timers vary; speed and coverage will provide best guideline.

 Turbo Remote. The Solo and Speed Demon differ as they only have one turning piston.
Aquavac TigerSharks are virtually the same as the Dolphins. They differ in that they have a filter cartridge, instead of a bag, which are expensive to replace and do not last long.
Dolphins are made in Israel, and employ single motor boxes for both moters, meaning they are expensive to repair and more subject to breakdown.
This is only marginally shower version of the Blue Diamond, but still faster than any other it's price class.

It is the best bargain among all 150+ automatic pool cleaners

 

These are the very best, most functional pool cleaners on the market. None are as fast or durable.

All come with a convenient cart.

These are cotninuing to be experimented with and modified. The Power Wash function is insignificant and subject to breakdown.
Ineffictive on viny pools. Will not climb and clean steps. Mechanical with no computer guidance system.

  General Description/
History

This is the basic Aquabot that is virtually unchanged since it was introduced in 1982.

The most popular of all Aqua Products' cleaners. This is a marginally faster Aquabot, relatively unchanged for the last ten years.

These employ turning pistons (except the Plus model). They tend to stick and require maintenance and repair.

A literal clone of the Dolphin, virtually unchanged for over five years.

The granddaddy of all wall-climbing robotics.  Made in Israel. Virtually unchanged for thirty years.

The Baby Blue Diamond is a more affordable version of the World's Highest-Rated and Most Acclaimed Pool Cleaner.

The most technologically advanced and highest-quality pool cleaner. Tested extensively in Europe, with a track record for longevity and dependability in the U.S. for over five years.

Only in its second year, still in it's experimental stage, it has already been changed for 2006.

A unique, so-called "jet-powered" cleaner, this is basically an idea that never took hold due to its inability to scrub and brush at all, an inability to climb as well as the other robotics. Not recommended in vinyl-lined pools.
